Maybe check on the Kodi forumsDoes any one know if this V18 solves the issue that lots of us are having with audio dropouts every few mins with DD and DTS files?
Personally, that sounds like the file isn't being read fast enough from where the dts movie file is stored. If you use a 20gb dts based movie, you need to ensure that you have a very fast hard drive and transfer speed. Something like a 5400rpm external hard drive via USB isn't going to work very well, hence drop outs.Does any one know if this V18 solves the issue that lots of us are having with audio dropouts every few mins with DD and DTS files?
dont really think its that ...you get odd dropouts on much smaller sized moviesPersonally, that sounds like the file isn't being read fast enough from where the dts movie file is stored. who are you asking ?So how big is the file? Where is the file being read from?

I have H265 3D movies so as to keep the quality of the images as good as possible so that the 3D is the best it can be and I don't have any problems around my house either in the frontroom or upstairs in my bedroom. I'm not sure what version of Kodi, addons, stock or another build your using. What I have found by talking to others is that many have a all in one Kodi type build so full of crap that the box just can't handle it. I use only stock and use my SD card to handle Kodi's system files by using the xml in the root of the internal storage. That way, the main box isn't being filled up with temp files, logos, fanart etc.who are you asking ?
if me , typically 1-2GB HEVC 265 files from my NAS
Curious to know how many resolutions are listed in your whitelist?Cheers, working perfectly on my MINIX NEO U1 without issues. Streaming via WiFi using a NAS
hahah...Kodi is awsome if you know what you are doing !!I have no crap also. I don't use Kodi!
I do but it gets a bit tiresome!hahah...Kodi is awsome if you know what you are doing !!
I agree with you there, I was using a specific skin for 17.6, but it wasn't 18 compatible so I had to sit down and find a skin I like, then go through the whole pain of adding playlists, settings, etc on the home screen using the new skin layout. THAT right there is a pain. Of course, once setup again, it's awesome.I do but it gets a bit tiresome!
something you could have tried would have on the 17.6 version setting back to default skin and then creating a back up. Then install your kodi 18 version and restoring from the backup.. It may have saved you a little time in configuring with your new skin.I agree with you there, I was using a specific skin for 17.6, but it wasn't 18 compatible so I had to sit down and find a skin I like, then go through the whole pain of adding playlists, settings, etc on the home screen using the new skin layout. I have the Minix X8H-Plus and running the latest Kodi v18 Leia beta-5.
Under Settings/System/Display/Whitelist, there is only one resolution listed, 1920x1080p @60Hz
It has been the same for all previous Leia betas that i've tried.
Would like to hear if anyone with the X8H-Plus has more resolutions listed in the whitelist?

Thankfully, playlists don't get deleted, but when you install a new theme/skin, the home page is set to the skins default settings. So you have to go through the whole interface/home page and setup the menu items again. Ironically, my old skin was created by the same person!something you could have tried would have on the 17.6 version setting back to default skin and then creating a back up. Ive not gone to kodi 18 yet so not sure how different it is... i use the aura skin , its vey nice and customisable and has both kodi 17 and 18 versions
Does that indicate that you installed Kodi 18 over Kodi 17, or is it a fresh install ( which i think is always better as no gemlins left around!)Thankfully, playlists don't get deleted
Yeah, it upgraded over the play store automatically as I'm a BETA tester. I agree that perhaps deleting the Kodi data folder on my SD card and letting 18 install as a fresh install maybe a good idea. But as my previous installation was STOCK, all the addons were official from the repository and got updated as part of the upgrade process. It's the cosmetics that get reset. If I have known about the skin not being 18 compatible, I'd have changed to something that was to make the process simple and hassle freeDoes that indicate that you installed Kodi 18 over Kodi 17, or is it a fresh install ( which i think is always better as no gemlins left around!)
