Adding SD Card

Please excuse what may seem a very simple question to most - I am an 81 yr old rookie with Android. Will adding an SD card to my Neo U9-H reduce the amount of buffering I am experiencing recently when streaming live broadcasts, mostly sport. And what is the largest size of SD card one can use?

No need to apologise, these devices are used by those of all ages and despite what some may like to believe, nobody knows it all.

1. The maximum size of the micro SD Card you can use is 256GB.

2. RE: Buffering, that's another issue entirely which could have more than one cause or it could even be beyond your control in certain circumstances.. Assuming that you're using a legal/legitimate app, are you sure the source of the media you're attempting to stream can cope with the demand? Do you have sufficient bandwidth and are you, for example, trying to stream media in 1080p/4K etc? Is the buffering worse at peak times or is it a constant issue?

Any other information you can think of that could potentially help others to help you?

Sadly NO.. The SD card will if formatted as internal provide extra storage and the system will take control where it places future installs and stored data and it encrypts the content so the card can not be viewed on other devices .. Format the SD as external will make it extra storage that can be removed and viewed on other equipment.
The issue you are experiencing is caused in the main by Internet speed and quality, and the source of the originating stream. many apps that offer free to view subscription content have such issues.. Do you subscribe to any of the stuttering stream content providers? There are several routes to go down to achieve potentially what it sounds like you need but perhaps a little more information on the where, when and what is causing the issue will lead to a better conversation in resolving your problems. I believe the Minix U-9H is a good product and will be able to get you to where you need to be with regard your media entertainment.
On the issue .. I use 128GB SanDisk cards in all my Minix U9-H, and that I find is more than enough for my needs.

Thank you both for your responses I will ascertain all the information you ask for and come back to you if necessary.
