Air Pin Pro

Hi
I keep getting a msg with an OSD "checking air pin v4", ever since I backed up my data in settings.
I understand that this app is to use my phone or smaller android device to cast to my TV. Maybe, I also misunderstand this but I have only some knowledge of these things.

So, my question is based upon the fact that I never cast from my phone to tv. I do not see the point of this and just use the minix/tv to watch what I wish.

Should I therefore, just uninstall air pin pro......or disable it to stop the OSD messages, because it also occasionally pops up with the msg "air pin has stopped working "?

All advice greatly appreciated.

If you don't use it you can simply disable it.

A least drastic approach can be to go in Settings, Apps, AirPin(PRO), in there select Storage, Clear Cache, after that Clear Data, go back to previous level and select Force Stop. This brings it to its initial factory state and it won't bother you any more.

The only thing I can think about disabling apps that you you don't need, is that once you might actually need it years after you might have forgotten you already had. The PRO version of AirPin that you got can actually not be so easy to find for free outside of your box (it is selling @Playstore) if you forgot you already had it. But that is obviously your choice.

If you are not using it you can uninstall it.

I can't see a way to disable it other than what @CybeRider suggested, Clear Data and Force Stop.

If you ever decide you need the app, you can find the apk in system/preinstall

Since my post, I have experimented with my Sony android tv and Android phone.
I turned minix off, used the tv,sent a you tube video to my tv from my phone on mirror and it played.
But as stated, I never use the phone to mirror anything to my tv.

Therefore my original question was one of curiosity as to why this air pin msg popped up on my screen at start up of the minix, after my data back up which it had never done before. And then after a few hours a msg would appear that air pin pro had stopped.

I was just wondering whether I had done something wrong that would affect the integrity of the u9h.

Having said all that, if it has not caused a malfunction to the U9h, I will leave well alone and await the release of the U22.

@Villa...Just a footnote, I presume from your link to settings>preinstall, that the link is from es explorer?

Thanks. I also have es explorer, but my screen does not show the same as yours, in as far as there is nowhere I can find pre installed apps.

hey I'm new to AIRPIN and SMART VIEW, I was wondering if you were willing to explain to me how it works or make it work, I have a TVBOX DUB ULTRA and on it, like on my cell phone, I have AIRPIN PRO V5.2.0, what should I do to show the screen? because the truth is that I'm quite confused

How does this pertain to a MINIX Neo U9-H media hub?
