Another update, another full wipe!!!!

For the second time now I got a forced update, and again, I can go spends hours tweaking everything after another update, because my box has started as new for the seconds time.

Same freaking problem as last time.

Can't mount the shares in kodi....

Hardly his fault really on the purchase side :sneaky:.
Plus Minix should give a warning if the update is going to wipe the box clean and give the user the chance to back out. ( I dont recall whether this indeed was an option but mine did update OK and nothing was lost as far as i can see regarding installed apps)

Exactly!!! I didn't want the update again, but you can't ignore it.....

I did yes, whats your theory ?
Well John must have had good reason to ask us for the SNs !

I guess those that purchased before the official release date and the first update that activated Chromecast are the ones with the issue.

Yes, should be approx. 100pcs in total affected and not all should be in the hands of end-customers. [these were pre-mass production units]
Once we know the serial numbers of affected units, we can disable the resets.
I'm helping Frank via PM.
