apps not showing in fullscreen (Android nav bar visible)

hi all, after running FW008 without problems, some months ago many Android apps are no longer showing in Fullscreen (with the exception of Kodi 17.6; set to auto start with 'Launcher for XBMC'). The Android nav bar remains visible... It is possible to hide it at that moment, but the next time the app is started it is visible again... "HideStatusBar enable" is checked as it should in Android Display settings (Android 6.0.1 as shipped).

is anyone familiar with this problem, and know how to fix it? many thanks!

Could it be an issue with the Launcher for XBMC itself? Have you tried the usual clear cache/data, and/or uninstall and re-install?

Alternatively, try the included standard Android launcher or install another 3rd party launcher such as Nova to see if you get your apps back in full screen.

hi! i tried numerous other Launchers and even an app to hide the android nav bar -- all to no available. I can hide the nav bar, but every time that the system is restarted it is back again. It is as if Android itself does not want to save these setting?

does anyone know how to fix this? many thanks!

You have to use the Menu button on the remote to remove the nav bar
Press and hold the Menu button and the nav bar will disappear. When you restart the device it will not reappear.
If you press and hold again it will reappear.

In previous firmwares this was not the case!
This was documented in the old Forum and I remember passing comment about something that MINIX fixed to do with the notification bar, appeared to break the way the nav bar worked.

that solved it! @Villa thanks so much -- funny that the setting is not saved when the nav bar is closed with a mouse, but -is- saved when using the remote... (small bug?) anyway, thank you!
