Apps that don't allow "casting"

I'm attempting to use the Xfinity app to stream TV, but the app is saying that I can't use it if my device is connected to another device via HDMI, or the screen is being casted to another device. Are there settings I can use to spoof the app into thinking it's playing to a screen on the device?

BTW, is this a new forum? I was signed up previously but my login didn't seem to work.

Also, is there a way to simulate or force a screen in "portrait" mode? Some apps, like "Music Choice", won't work in landscape mode.

Thanks.

I may be wrong, but I think the U9-H has spoofing built in to the firmware!
Is your device updated with the latest firmware?

Thanks, Villa!

Settings, Display, Screen rotation
I'd swear I tried this, but I'll have another look. I'm heading to work shortly.

Yes, updated it just yesterday and tried the app right after.

I just checked for updates, and it's applying another one. I'll post on here if that makes any difference.

OK, update finished.

The Music Choice app is actually worse after the updates. Before, it would show me the app's splash screen then its home screen. I just couldn't access all the menu choices because the top 2/3 of the menu was chopped off, and of course that's where all the important stuff is. Now I just get the splash screen, and it twitches plaintively as if trying to rotate a screen that refuses to come out of landscape mode.

I tried all three screen rotation modes, same problem, no portrait orientation. When I click an option the dot doesn't move next to it, I have to exit and come back to see the option dot change to the option I picked. Also, the word "orientation" is spelled incorrectly.

Here's a link to the app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.music.choice You'll need a login to a cable service that carries their channel.

Here's a screenshot of what I get when I try to watch a TV channel with the Xfinity streaming app:

Hope I can get some help on this. Thanks.

Sorry, been busy the past couple of days. I'll try to get the for you over the weekend. Thanks.

By the way, another thing that happens is that Music Choice has a website, https://musicchoice.com/ , but if I try to access it from Firefox on the Minix, it bounces me over to their app on the Google Play store.

Is there any way for me to keep web pages from knowing they're being opened by an Android system? If so I could listen to music despite the problem with their app.

By the way, the NBC Sports app worked perfectly this morning, when I had the privilege of watching Crystal Palace beat Man City. Can't blame the box or the app for that astonishment!

This is what I have with no means of logging in.
There is no means of logging in because the app chops off the upper part of the menu, which is where the login stuff is, because it can't cope with the forced portrait orientation.

Here's what the app looks like on my phone:

Imagine a "Login" menu choice where the "Sign out" choice is now.
