What is your specific home theater system?

What are the other apps with this audio delay? Which version of Kodi are you using & are you using any builds?

How long is your TOSLINK cable? Have you tried a quality alternative?

Is your U9-H stock with FW008, or are you running beta firmware?

Any other details you think may be relavant?

My home theatre is an LG about 7 years old it was no problem on my mecool box ( now bricked from overheating)
it happens on every app tivimate iptv smarters using vlc or mcplayer pro running kodi 18.2 with no builds and only 3 addons.
my cable is 1 metre long and is an expensive one
i am using stocl firmware FW 008
am thinkng of trying the community rom but reinstalling my apps and setting them all up again is making me think twice

the first thing i would do is to see if it is network/internet related by playing a video direct from the internal storage.
If it doesnt play fine there it may be a configuration/settings/hardware issue

Yes i agree. First test local internal storage, copy that video to minix or use a usb external hdd.

The delay may have several causes:
-router needs a factory reset
-low speed network
-kodi 18.2 not working properly (needs a fresh instalation)
-u9h needs a factory reset

To be sure what is the problem i advice you step by step verifying all that and also upgrade u9h to the latest beta firmware (if the problem remains).

-router needs a factory reset
personaly i would allways do a modem/router reboot first ( by powering off at mains, leave a few minutes, and then power on)
A factory reset would be last resort unless you know you have been fiddling around with settings and inadvertantly changed something.
same applies for minix u9-H

also upgrade u9h to the latest beta firmware
cant see this fixing anything :);)

Yes you are right.
Last resort of course, first a reboot and in all the devices , minix , router, etc

I said that of factory reset just to be 100% sure that the problem disappears ☺
