BBC iPlayer App Video controls

Anyone in the UK who uses the BBC iPlayer app and finds moving from the U9-H to the U22-XJ has made using the app even more of a challenge, might wish to go to 'Settings' > 'Video Player' > and try selecting 'New Video Controls - Try our experimental video controls. Some things might not work perfectly just yet', as I found it has made my Neo A3 air mouse play/pause button work for the first time ever in iPlayer on this my third Minix box, the video time indicator can now be dragged to any point in a video, and 10 second reverse/forward buttons have been provided.

Yep, those controls have been available for some time now! :)

Now we just need Downloads to work!!! :(
I'm not sure if it's an app issue or the device?
Downloads for me fail on the U9-H and the U22-XJ.
On the T5 they appear to work! (y)

Oh right ? , I have probably only looked at the settings every 6 months, for me the new controls are like belatedly getting the Christmas present I most wished for.

I seem to remember downloading a couple iPlayer programmes in the early days of having my U9-H but it didn't seem to work that well, and I think the download access may have timed out after a few months and have not bothered since, will try again, but given I have paid the BBC licence fee in full every year for nearly 40 years, I would like them to make everything they still have a copy of available online so I don't have to download it, its not as if I am going to be watching that much of it, just a few hours of things I missed or wish to watch again from time to time.
