Bluetooth headphones

Hello,

I am trying to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my U1. I’m running the most up to date official firmware. I can pair the headphones ok but there is no sound.

I should have added that when I go to the sound output setting the only options that appear are HDMI or Auto. From reading previous threads it sounds like the headphones should be there as an available output option.

Do your bluetooth headphones show up under Remote and Accesories section of android settings.
If paired try turning bluetooth off and then on again making sure the speakers are powered on
with a bit of luck your speakers will then be visible in your sound output options

Yes, they show up under Remote & Accessories but the icon is a joystick. Also, when I go to the Audio output section the only options are HDMI or Auto

Also, I can connect the headphones to my Minix UH-9 without any problems. They show up in the Remote and Accessories section and have a headphone icon.

To me it looks like the U1 isn’t recognizing them as headphones for some reason. Would Android 6 on the U9 vs. Android 5.1 on the U1 have anything to do with it? Should I upgrade to a Beta Android 6 firmware?

Problem solved. I just needed to unpair the headphones and then pair them again but this time I placed the headphones very close to the Mi I’d box when pairing. This time it correctly identified them as headphones and not a joystick.

Thank you, I was able to connect my Bluetooth speaker by following you advice.
