Booting when power is switched on

Hi,

is it possible with the Minix Z100 that the PC boots up when it gets power? And where can I find this option?

Specifically, I would like to use an on/off switchable power strip to switch on the PC and monitor without having to press the power button on the PC. I could then place the PC behind the monitor.

Enter the BIOS by holding down the 'Delete' key when you power on the device.
Advanced
Power Settings
Power Loss [On]

Hello,

I have now bought the Z100 and activated the automatic start option in the BIOS (Power Loss is ON).

Unfortunately, I have to press the power button every time to start the computer.

I shut down the computer normally under Windows 11 and switch off the power via a power strip. When I need it, I switch the power on at the power strip, but the computer does not start automatically. I always have to press the power button on the PC. This is a disadvantage if the computer is mounted in an inaccessible place, e.g. behind the monitor.

What am I doing wrong?

I confirm the same!

Possibly related to this...

@Cloudjuno I've updated the BIOS and it is still the same! :(

Edit: I tried today 24/04/2024 and it is working now!
So @Cloudjuno if you haven't already, update the BIOS

S5' option is "Disable" in BIOS?
To make features such as 'AC Power Loss', 'LAN Wakeup' and 'RTC Wakeup' to work, this option must be disabled.

Yes, it is disabled!

The Power Loss [On] functionality is not working as it should!

The latest BIOS update fixed an 'S5' issue (1. Fixed Wake Up from S5 (power off) with USB device.)

Now the Power Loss [On] needs looking at.

Edit: All good! (y)

I tested BIOS version AD0J0181 and it works fine.
make sure 'Deep S5 (Eup)' options is Disable.
What is the latest BIOS (Project version) you updated?

I just tried again and it is indeed working!

How strange!?

I was hoping the BIOS update would fix this and it looks like it did! :)

@Cloudjuno update the BIOS !
