Cannot login to Kanopy app

Hi everybody

New to this forum, first post. I've recently purchased a MINIX NEO U9-H 4K HDR and I am really struggling with it. I have both the remotes, the A3 air mouse which is really difficult to use and also the smaller remote, which doesn't seem to respond to the up down, left right commands a lot of the time. I find myself switching between the two remotes all the time just to try to do what I want to do. Can't work out voice control at all.

Not sure if this is a fault or if it's the way it is?

The other big problem I have at the moment is I have installed a great app called Kanopy, it has loads of free films on it, all legit. I just can't login, fill in my email and password, click on the login button and nothing happens. Download the same app on my Samsung android phone, logs in straight away.

Can anybody help me with these problems? Thanks in advance, Bob

Try this...
Settings, Display, Screen rotation, force land

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately, it didn't work, the same thing is happening.

The only way I can attempt to click on the 'Login' button is with the pointer on the air mouse, but I get the feeling that although it makes a sound when I click on it, it's not actually clicking it.

What I don't understand about the remotes is that using the up down left right functions on either of them often doesn't work for some of the things I need to do. I can't seem to get to the login button using that method and, for example, if I have a browser open I cannot click on the X to close a tab using any other method than the pointer of the air mouse.

As the air mouse was an optional extra, I'm wondering why the smaller remote is so limited? Or is mine faulty?

You definately need the airmouse with Pure Android!
It is designed for touchscreen!

Android TV requires only D-Pad (Direction keys).

If you are using apps designed for Android TV !

If you sideload other apps then an airmouse or mobile app is required.
Ok i see ☺.
It is very useful using a normal keyboard/mouse or even an airmouse also in android tv ☺.
Web Browsing, etc

I did, and it worked! I am now able to watch Kanopy on my Minix, so thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Yes, this is interesting to know, thank you.

So, I was wondering, I believe I could install Android TV on this box instead of Pure Android and I wondered what might be the downside of that. All I really want this box for is watching various TV streaming services through my Nord VPN, would I still have the ability to do that?

And if I did install Android TV, would there be any restrictions on any of the apps I could install?

Or am I best off just sideloading some apps that are usually available for Android TV, as you suggested with Kanopy, and continuing to run with Pure Android?
