Can't save vpn

Brand new NEO U22-XJ Max (Android version 9)(Build 20211023). I can't save a VPN configuration in settings. Any suggestions?

Which VPN ? OpenVPN, Wireguard, other ?
Just a client ou you installed a server ?

Hi, I use UKPROXY VPN. I already have two older minix and I have the vpn settings saved so I can turn on/off when I want. The U22 let's me enter all the VPN details and press save but nothing is stored.

have you tried to clear the app cache ?

Not sure which app you mean? I'm not using a 3rd party vpn app. I'm trying to add a vpn to the settings under "Network & internet"

It clearly states that in the image filename!
U22-XJ Max Android 9 root-20221009.img


Also I have checked to see if it is actually rooted.
