CoreElec on U22-XJ MAX

Thanks Marty. My MAX is listed as arriving next week. If the stable release is not out at that time, I will give the nightly build a go.

My U22XJ-Max arrived today. Never even booted into Android, I just booted into the nightly build of 19.4 from SD and voila.
Looking very good, so far. I am using the A2 remote and most things seem to work as expected, except no response to power off from the remote. Power on works, but not power off.
Now I will have to review the procedure to install CoreElec internally .

It's just a script called installtointernal
Tried on U22XJ (worked perfectly), never tried on Max version.

I use coreelec on u22xj internal ,it works perfect ...i also re install Android from Time to Time for test new Fw ...and go back to internal coreelec installation... No problem

I don´t advice you to do that (or at least for now)

My advice:
Stay with (Boot from SD card or android)

Pray tell WHY? I have been running CoreElec internally on the U22-XJ and U9 without issues. If it runs without problem from the SD card, I cannot see why running it internally would be a problem.

On the U22-XJ I never ran android at all, and so far, I can say the same for the U22-XJ Max.
On the U9, abandoning android in favor of CoreElec solved so many playback issues, it made the U9 truly a functional media player. On android it was not (at least for me).

Yes, I remember, but only vaguely. That's why I need to review the installation procedure. I may give it a try later today, or maybe tomorrow.
I seem to recall I also had to install something to get the A2 remote to work properly, some sort of key map file.

Ok Minix A2 remote issue. I copied the keymap from the U22-XJ How to Install CoreElec thread, same as I did on the U22-XJ, into the root of the SD card.

But now when I press the power off button on the remote I get the power menu (that only happened on the U22-XJ if I did a long press).
So, my question is this: what do I have to change to get the power button on the remote to ONLY cause the U22-XJ Max to power on or power off?
I do NOT want the power menu to show up when trying to power off. I just want the device to power down (NOT go into standby).

Actually it now appears internal installation is done using a CoreElec installer tool "ceemmc" as an SSH command.

I completed the internal installation of CoreElec on the U22-XJ Max and all is working fine, well except for A2 remote issues :p.

Good job mate ! (y)

I have a problem with using coreelec on my U22-XJ MAX. I want to boot from SD Card or USB Stick the android boot logo starts in loop. I have a old Neo U1, coreelec works fine. I don't know what's the problem.

For the first boot you need to hold in the recovery button and power button until presented with the CE boot screen, have you done this already? After that it should boot into CE as long as the SD Card or USB is inserted in the U22 Max.

It does not work. The CE boot Screen starts in loop.

Can you tell my an amazon link for a compatibility SD Card please
