Delays without VPN service..

Hi to all.
I am facing a problem regarding MINIX internet response..

Takes long time to have internet action for kodi , several softwares,, popcorn e..t.c..
If I use a vpn service, the response is more fast..

Fyr my connection is 100 mbps download 10 mbps upload .. and my connection is via ethernet cable

Any suggestions ?

Hello.
One thing is your internet speed, other thing is your configuration...

Do a speedtest.

My speed over Speedtest application is 87 - 91 down / > 8 up.
But to start be active needs more than 20 sec.
If i am using VPN the app respondance is fast , but off course with less speed.
What kind of configuration you mean ?

I don't know if you are using kodi add ons to watch movies/tv shows but i don't use that.

You may face that add on problem, router configuration, minix box configuration...

Restart minix and router for now.

Are you slowing your Kodi down with a "build", heavy "all in one" add-ons or you have a high number of single add-ons installed?

that suggests to me that some of your addons or apps have geo restictions in connecting to servers etc that will only work with your vpn connected

if that is the case i would try another vpn provider / server or get your self a decent router on which you can run openvpn capable of maintaining a good down/up load speed.

My question is:
Why the internet speed (general) and the reaction of the device , is more faster with vpn (any location ) and without VPN is very very slow.
