My minix doesnt have 4k@60fps in display settings though. ???
It's important to remember, there's no such thing as HDMI cable "versions." There's no such thing as a "HDMI 2.0 cable." The version numbers refer to the HDMI connections in your gear. Which is to say, your TV can have HDMI 2.0 inputs, but your HDMI cable is just an HDMI cable. Are you certain your TV/monitor supports 4K@60 if it isn't listed??? (Is it listing all 1080 options or 4K@30, for example?)
Are you using older HDMI 1.4 cables to connect your U9-H? If yes, they only support 4K@30, you'll need a decent HDMI 2.0 cable. KabelDirekt do good quality HDMI 2.0 cables at reasonable prices on Amazon, including cables with 90° or 270° angled connectors if required .

If your TV is not 4K then you won't get 4K resolution or any 4K options on your Minix. My Tv doesnt support 4k.
The minix shows all options of 1080p but no options for 4k.
Youtube doesnt play any 4k content, max it gets to is 1080p
Minix plays 4k movies on Kodi but outside, it doesnt.
Is all that coz of my TV?

You can play a 4K video in YouTube but you will only see the max resolution of your TV.
"Looking for a new Ultra HD TV or a top-of-the-line smartphone? Experts agree: tech fans crazy for sharper resolution are sometimes paying for more pixels than their eyes can actually see."That clears that up then lol .
Time to look for a shiny new 4K TV if you want to get the best from your U9-H . Shame you just missed Black Friday!!

No idea!Thanks..
I have another question though. I use plex quite regularly. When I try to play a 4k movie using Plex, the app gets stuck..but kodi manages to play the same movie.
Is that coz of Kodi's own awesomeness?
Switch to this...I have the same issue as mirfarali But I do have a 4K tv. If I play a movie through Kodi it shows in 4K
But if I use youtube I can only pick 1080p. My settings are set to 4k@60f but still youtube does not play 4K. I upgraded my hdmi cable to 2.0 and this made a massive difference as I could never pick 4K in the setting only 1080p.
Is there a setting I am missing somewhere for youtube to play 4K?
