Downloading Programs

#1
I do seem to have some issues with buffering on certain sites with sources. Can you download a program and watch it later without the buffering? I have been using android units for a few years but never thought about it much. Frustrating to watch something and suddenly have it buffer over and over. I have never downloaded anything for viewing later and it would be nice to not have this happen.I usually just save everything as a favorite then watch it. I have a UH9 unit which I like very much, I just don't think I take advantage of all the features. I am waiting for the new U22 to come out. Thanks

You will probably find that a majority of people download to their PC and then transfer the download to a USB stick/memory card or NAS and play from there. NAS being the best option IMHO

Streaming from internet does depend mostly from your internet connection, internet addons that you use to watch movies/tv shows, etc.

With a new device you will be able to run multiple programs faster, you will get a more recent firmware, newer device...

Having said that is much faster streaming from local (NAS for example) and with a good setup you will have zero buffering even with u9h (for example).

I'm using a bunch of different APKs. The tabs always show the ability to download a movie or ? My question is this, will the download show buffering in the recorded version or not. Is there an advantage to a download vs real time viewing? Do I need to keep the UH( on during the recording or will it time out and go to a screen saver mode? I know these are a bit lame but just trying to look at all options. I'll start to watch a movie and get into it and it will start to buffer evry few minutes or so then willbecome unwatchable because the buffering just continues and then I will have to search for another source or go to another APK and try to pick up the program again. Most of the time as long as I don't pause the show it will play pretty much complete. I've got a great unit but need to know all the features that will improve my viewing. Thanks

Forgot to add my internet in this area is considered pretty good at 50mbps and works very well with my YouTubeTV and other units. I use a EERO mesh system but the Minix is hardwired in along with the TV

We all know what you are doing but you are now on the edge of what this forum allows with respect to discussion of certain apps and addons that may be considered illegal.

Having said that a downloaded or locally created video file should not buffer assuming a good LAN connection if streaming across your LAN or playing direct from your minix.

Supprt or discussions about these tpyes of APK's are not open for discussion here on the Forum.

Although you may have a MINIX hardware issue / question you also named an APK which is not allowed.

Thank-you

Sorry about that OK no help. But let's delete any mention of anything just to save face. We'll talk about what would be better a NAS unit vs an EHD.

The download will not buffer.
Yes, no buffering.
It should continue to download even with the screensaver on.
