External media (USB) + U1 + locking up

For the most part, I launch XBMC and play my downloads off a USB stick.
What I notice is that If I move or delete file off the stick(PC) and plug it into the minix,
when I power it on, it freezes. Unplugging it and power it on to get it to read and launch properly.
Using usb port or usb c port with adatpter...

I think I need it to auto clear cache and I would like minix to auto launch XBMC.

Latest firmware and Kodi etc... Unless I need to change a setting or use another player?

Gonna try erase/factory reset

The best way to clean your system. Try it.

I think your right, it's a cache thing and I'm just not doing something I should be. Normally, I just use a network storage device for streaming and it's always auto updated by Kodi. Having issues with that server, so I have been loading and playing off USB...
Does a person have to "un-mount" the external storage prior to closing minix?

I have a second unit I wiped and reset. This time. I selected the other launch option, Minix Metro. A different screen was opened and it showed the "un-mount" option on the top right where the drives appear. Most of the default shortcuts I do not use and you can only add to the home screen as there seems no editing option. I just assumed that when you shut down the device, it will unmount the drives, so this may be the problem. Still testing...

Normally, I use launcher3, I prefer launcher3 as i can load the shortcuts that I actually want to use. Plus, I prefer XBMC for playing my videos. The default player on the Metro home screen is quite limited and I ended up loading XBMC anyways.

UPDATE:
Highlight the folder then hold the menu button for options...I will try it that!

>Running XBMC (Kodi) just fine. All default system with last firmware update.
Problem is I have created duplicate network shares,
How to remove them? I cannot find any options...<
Thx
