Then either uninstall it or update to the latest version that works fine on the U22. You can either do that from inside the app (Settings > Update Settings > Check now) or get the apk from elsewhere.

It's just a basic file browser. MINIX also removed ES File Explorer from the U22 in later firmware versions after it was removed from the Play Store. Following that removal MINIX instead pre-installed X-Plore file manager in later firmware versions so there is still a working file manager.

You can easily download & install any of your preferred file browsers which have the features you may require yourself too. (Ultimately, these devices were shipped out long ago in sealed packaging, to various global resellers, & with a much earlier firmware version which has since undergone some changes. It would be utterly unrealistic (financially & logistically) to expect any manufacturer to continually recall every single device they produce to update the firmware or any pre-installed apps just because either may have since been updated.)

You can simply use the FOTA app to update the firmware itself or manually flash the most recent firmware if you so wish. However, how hard is it to update an app or install another that has the features or capabilities that you require?)
