I have had this issue too!Hi!
I received a NEO N42C-4 Plus device. When I connect the adapter, the led flashes red five times and nothing happens. What it means? Thank You the answer!
@JohnSmith see my post above.
I had already replied but removed it 'coz it was incorrect. Have now edited the post!
Thank You! But how? Nothing memory?I have had this issue too!
I thought the device was dead but it now does boot again.
Sorry but I don't know how it got fixed?!
I remember tinkering with it and at some point it started up again.
Have you tried resetting the BIOS?
Disconnect the power lead.
Using a bent out paperclip or similar, press and hold the reset button for around ten seconds.
Reconnect power lead.
Press power button.

Other suggestions, which is basically what I did, are...Thank You! But unfortunately, the reset does not work. I tried, but nothing changes. When i tested the Neo with an USB-C cable (adapter and Accubank) : with this solution the red LED flashes five times and then stays on lights up continuously. But apart from that, nothing happens, you can't even turn it on.
Other suggestions, which is basically what I did, are...
1. Connect power, then press and hold the Power button. See if the Blue Led comes on?
2. Disconnect power. Press and hold the Power button then insert the power connector while keeping the Power button pressed. See if the Blue Led comes on?
If the Blue Led lights up, it will most probably then go off after around 5 secs. A flicker of hope!
Press the Power button again to see if the device will power up and boot.

Did you receive it second hand?I received a NEO N42C-4 Plus device.
Can you post a photo of the switch? But now, i don't know what to do now. It's quite a barbaric way to run two cables outside the house and always touch them when I want to turn it on. I dare unsolder the switch? It's a bit rusty, I can see that now. Maybe I'm just making it worse.
How good are your soldering skills?Yes, from second hand. It was used in a wetter room, unfortunately, it shows. The circled legs, which I shorted.

How good are your soldering skills?
I would reflow the solder joints and spray the switch with switch cleaner.
If that fails then I'd replace the switch!
It doesn't need to be an exact replacement switch.
You could get any push button momentary switch and fit it to the case.
Sometimes i solder as a hobby. I think I try.
