Yes, generic gamepad support is handled by the .kl and .kcm files. Many .kl files specific to certain gamepads are included. If you have an unsupported gamepad, you can create your own .kl file with a plain text editor or with the help of the "Gamepad Tester" app by "elron" in the Google Play store. You will need to turn on root to modify and create .kl files. Making and modifying.kl files isn't hard. I just recently started.Hi, does anyone know if the U22-XJ has proper game controller support, like Xbox controller.
Thanks in advance.

Look up EmuELEC, it's an alternative Retrogaming OS. I've installed it on the internal storage and managed to dual boot with Android. I had a hard time pairing my Dualshock 4 via Bluetooth. That's why I uninstalled it. If you're going to exclusively use wired USB gamepads it's a great option. Thanks for the replies.
I've just bought U22XJ. I'll find out for myself soon enough.
I have always supported Minix by purchasing there products.
This is My second Minix Android, Z64 x3 was my first and last box. I've bought cheap, s912, S905x2, boxes ever since. Suited me and very cheap.
More recently I've bought Minix PC's.
Most boxes that have a S922 are not cheap, so might as well buy Minix. I'm hoping that the support will last and develop.
EmuELEC 3.6 now supports Minix Neo U22-XJ. There was no U22-XJ DTB file on EmuELEC 3.5, but there is on 3.6.
Yeah, wired controllers work fine with EmuELEC. Bluetooth controllers work, but you have to make the controllers MAC address trusted on the EmuELEC device by sending a ssh command via a network on a PC. As I constantly pair my Dualshock 4 to different devices, this was not the solution for me. If you plan on using your Bluetooth gamepad with only the EmuELEC device, this may work for you.Bluetooth controller doesn't bother me.
Wired is just fine, just thinking..i'm assuming I'll be able to connect the usb lead to a Bluetooth controller and use it wired, but I also have a hard wired controller too.
I'll give EmuELEC some study. Thanks
I'm still using the non backlit A3 I got for my U9-H. I'm kind of jealous. I'm more happy for you than I am jealous.Wow. Ordered from Aliexpress. I was expecting it to take weeks. It took 2 days!
Amazing. Love you Minx.
I'll set it up soon.
Yeah, I bought my A3 bundled with my U9-H. Then I bought my U22-XJ from Amazon and no bundles were available. Eventually, I'll get the backlit A2. I don't ever use voice control. To be honest, I'm not a fan of minix remotes.
They work very well. Very Good quality. A bit expensive compared to cheap remotes that work well..so cheap if you don't like it, just buy other type. A bit heavy and batteries don't last.
It's been a long time since I've used one, I'll probably appreciate the button layout more then I did, as my use has changed.
Also the bundle is the best value for money.
My main focus is "SetTopBox" to have a good viewing experience, you need a remote that reflects that. Channel hopping, (mainly D-pad)menu, EPG...etc

I've attached a screenshot of the included .kl and .kcm files that support authentic Microsoft XB360 and XB1 gamepads.
