how do I install the new google tv UI on my minix t5?

as the android tv one looks crap

I would suggest you try a Google search of the following.. "You can get the new google tv interface working on other Android TV devices" That would be my approach to getting it done Oh and try the first link offered but be prepared to jump through some hoops to get it running

what then is the point of this forum? every question asked seems to be answered with "google it" or other non helpful remarks.

One would assume the minix forum would be the best place to find answers to minix specific questions.

After reading your opening post and @gdf's, I Googled it as @gdf obviously did!

What's the point of us Googling it for you and then telling you our findings when you can do just that?!

In short, it will be rolled out to Android 9 and above over a two year period and that a firmware update will be necessary for full functionality.

Now Google it for full, possibly vague, details. Then share in the Forum for others.

NB: When we do offer helpful remarks it would be nice to be acknowledged!
