On the box it states this is hdmi 2.1 if it was hdmi 2.1 it would support these specs:
DMI® Specification 2.1 is the most recent update of the HDMI specification and supports a range of higher video resolutions and refresh rates including 8K60 and 4K120, and resolutions up to 10K. ... The cable is backwards compatible and can be used with the existing installed base of HDMI devices.

But it says the max it supports is 4k60fps so sometjing is not right.
Hdmi 2.0 supports 4k at 60fps so there is no way this has hdmi 2.1 ports.

I don't think they would license Minix for HDMI 2.1 if it wasn't so:

Explain why it don't offer 4k120fps then and 8k60fps because that is what hdmi 2.1 is. What would be the point of having hdmi 2.1 but it only does what hdmi 2.0 offers.

Because it doesn't have to, here are all the supported resolutions and frame rates and as you see at the top is 4K50/60 so therefore the U22 is HDMI 2.1 and advertised as such with no false claims to be any higher:

If you have your doubts then stay clear of the U22, if you suspect foul play then contact Will Bush at wbush@hdmi.org or office phone number (408)-861-4886, end of.

On the U22-XJ packaging it states (4K @ 60Hz).

Suggest its like seeing the tyres on a car are marked with a 'Y' speed rating indicating they are capable of carrying the rated load at a maximum speed of 300km/h and then being disappointed that the car manufacturer has specified the maximum speed of the car as only 150km/hr, likewise hdmi equipment may be capable of carrying 4k120fps and 8K60fps, but the device manufacturer may only be claiming to achieve a maximum of 4k @ 60Hz.

That's pretty bad though, because the point of hdmi 2.1 is support 120fps at 4k and 60fps for 8k. When people see the hdmi 2.1 compatibility they will automatically assume it now has the higher refresh rates. They have been very clever because packaging states hdmi 2.1 but in reliality it has the same max capabilities as the u9 which uses hdmi 2.0
At the moment there is very limited 8k content and 4k at 120fps but in December when the ps5 and Xbox drop with the hdmi 2.1 and u have hdmi 2.1 TV they will be alot more content available and the u22 won't be able to process the image even though it is suppose to have hdmi 2.1 ashame really because when you buy Minix box u don't replace every year it last at least couple years.

Look at the image again mate it goes top to being the lowest and bottom to being the highest believe me hdmi 2.1 is suppose to be 4k at 120fps
