HDMI AUDIO

Hi I am having a lot of trouble playing videos with surround sound.

My U-22 is connected to a NAS and I am using both PLEX and VLC (twonky) to play videos. The MINIX is connected to a Surround Processor via HDMI and the processor should decode all the digital sound formats. However it looks impossible to have a passthrough HDMI.

The only sound I can get is LPCM 2.0 from the Minix.

Audio Surround is set: AUTO in device preferences
MINIX audio settings are: DOLBY SOUND off (but also LINE with no difference) and DIGITAL AUDIO FORMAT is AUTO

Can somebody help me?

I did a reboot and now it is working. However all the HD tracks (PCM 5.1, TRUE HD, DTS-MASTER) are not working.

Make sure to have your Surround Processor up and running when you boot with your U22 (or reboot again) - you can check the available (what minix can detect from the connected device) audio settings and see the available formats appearing under Device Preferences -> Sound. As long as there are no options, Kodi won't be able to do proper passthrough as far as I experienced.

For Dolby TrueHd the passthrough works for me only if I set the audio settings to 2.0 for some reason (see conversation in the bugtracker thread).
