Media Center and Samba

Hello, maybe this will be part of the samba update, dunno. I have movies on a linux Fedora Box in a raid config. Samba is running on the linux and I can point to the movie raid drive via samba config file and appropiate user and password. I see it on the network on other linux boxes and Windows box, AND I can browse to it in X-plore no problem via the lan in X-plore. The trouble is I would like to change the DLNA settings from their default in Media Center App, from going to just the home share file folders on the linux box. Am I missing something or is this part of the samba update. I can do it with the Plex App, but do NOT want to pay a subscription. Don't care about access outside of the local network, Media Center seems pretty cool, and the network settings button for it dosen't work, tried the dlna_dnr settings but to no avil.
Long winded I know, but thanks.

The Samba update is purely to add a Samba Server to the device so you can map it from another device.

what are you actually trying to achieve on the U22 in very simple terms as a media player ??

just to stream movies from the hardrive of my choice on the linux box via what the path I set, but the media player defaults to the home share directories of music, videos, pictures. Not to good if I have 10 TBytes of movies on a raid drive that is separate of the default shared folder. In X-plore I can log in to samba and see the movie directory, same for I install the plex player and server no problem, but that software is ok but to cumbersome.. YES as a media player but log into my choice of hardrives on the linux box. I have an old Western Digital DLNR stream box so something similar or maybe I am over thinking this...Thanks
