Minix: Slower and slower

There are ways to optimize speed, however there are trade-offs, but it all depends on what you are using the U9-H for. I would start by disabling the apps you know you will never use. Turn off notifications for apps that are unnecessary. You can also turn off autosync to you google account and set your apps update to manual vs auto. ( Make sure to check for yourself for updates regularly ) Also use the kill apps function on minix metro to reduce cpu and ram. I find that these things are part of good house keeping to keep the U9-H speed going strong. I also use this technique on my X8-H plus as well. Both running strong. There are few other things as well but it all depends on how technically confident you are.

Cheers

but what ?
What?
It's hard
have to start from scratch.

Thanks.
I also have an X8-H plus , with similar problems.

My first move would be to clear the cache files in advanced settings, followed by checking the apps via the advanced setting area with a view of looking for any of the apps that have collected excessive data and clear any that might have done this, then restart and see how it goes. I find the U9-H starts to slow down when the cache level is above 500MB, I have seen many U9-H with 2GB cache and they really are crawling along, but once cleared they are as fast as ever.

I forgot to mention the regular clearing of cache in my original post, but @Alexdroid made a very good point and should be the first step.
