@midnight That was the right call, you nail it. I succeeded to install. But, unfortunately, I cannot log in, it's impossible, I tried with two different accounts, cleared cash always before and after, nothing helps. Thank you again.
 
Hi all, I have tried downloading from the Minix forum server, but the download is fairly slow (I am located in The Netherlands).
It is around 20 to 80 kB/s and also drops connection, since this is taking too long.

Are there alternative servers for downloading this file? Thanks
 
Just installed it succesfully.

Getting it active as a USB device was difficult (I assume the trick was to have HDMI disconnected).
It wasn't clear in which order you should push the stop button, close the application, disconnect the USB cable and pull out the power connector.
The first reboot ended up having a frozen Minix logo. The second reboot was a succes.

Lollipop works like a charm and a big improvement over Kitkat.
 
I can't connect minix to pc. Usb burning tool is not recognise it. I tried with power button and recovery. Is it possible that my micro usb cable is not otg?

possibly...although connection can be problematic.... suggest trying different USB cables and USB2.0 ports available on your laptop / pc and win 7 OS if available although it does work on Win 10.
I have only found 1 cable and USB port on my Win10 laptop that works by trial and error :mad:
 
I think could be helpful for someone here if I share two tips.
1. Do you have a problem with sound on your NEO X-8-H Plus? The reason is the original USB for the remote mouse. I changed with other USB and wireless mouse. Of course, the original USB and the remote-mouse are OUT.
2. Do you have a problem connecting your NEO X-8-H Plus through Wi-Fi? Change the port of your LAN connection.
Only one problem left for me - how to log in to the Netflix application.

The latest version of Netflix before 5.0.0 did the job. Just like @midnight said previously ;)
 
I hava a problem sinne lollipop got installed, my minix is on but it cant find the source on my tv, then i have to cut power from the minix and restart it and then it works fine again.
Anyone more got the same problem?

Yes ,i have the same issue with firmware lolipop ,at least once a week
it's sure a bug because i install de lolipop firmware on 3 box x8h + and all have the same problem
each box is in a different location with diferent tv model
I hope the Minix will take out the final lollipop version with all bugs repaired
