Neo Z83-4 Auto Power on not working.

My Z83-4 auto power-on does not work at all. I have updated BIOS to 1.8 and set to 'Always On'. Killing power whilst in OS and restoring has no impact. I'm sure it shouldn't matter, but i have rebuilt to Win 10 Pro. Bios settings otherwise as standard and seem to be retaining settings so not battery (i think). It is 1 year old, but has not been powered on for more than 24 hours during that time. Any suggestions?

Can you get your system to WOL or to wake on a schedule for example, or do they fail as well?

If your device has been sat for a year without mains power it's highly probable that the battery will have discharged far faster than typical usage. (Ultimately, anywhere between 2-10 years WITH mains power, obviously yours has been without). Might be worth swapping out if you're intending to use the system more now.

Have you also tried re-flashing the BIOS, (you just never know, sometimes it can correct such problems)?

Give them a go on the off chance it helps. Otherwise, you could have a faulty MCU but that's purely speculation on my part!!!

Keep us updated :).

When enabled the auto power-on option in the BIOS, you need to save the settings and exit.
Then the device will boot up automatically. When it does, this feature should take effect.
Try if it works and let us know.

We have more than 50 Minix Z83-4 in operation : the only issue we have is in BIOS AutoPower is turning OFF by itself. Can you reinforce this setting in BIOS Firmware to make sure is not possible easily to change the setting for any reason to OFF. (Power Cycle, etc)
I suspect a Bit flipping during power cycle. Make sure this setting is more complicated to change.

This happen on BIOS 1.6 1.7 and 1.8 Version

I assume the "MINIX Firmware Version" column in the BIOS is blank.
If so, then it means the MCU is not properly installed, without which the auto power-on will not work.
Please go to BIOS and attach a screenshot here so we can verify if the MCU is properly installed. .
