Hi, all.... I purchased 2 of these units thru reputable vendor on ebay and I am using them to display content to a monitor used as a directory.
I had both units programed thru my vendor who designed the campaign directory (using signage studio). Both units playing campaign for 2 months straight with no unexpected shutdown.

I installed the monitor and media player on location, set up wifi, 1 day in, the media player shuts down. went to turn back on, next day, shuts down.
Switched media player and same %$#$$ thing, shut down. I then brought back the other media player and set it up in my shop with a screen and guess what?????
No shut down. This is the ping from the shutdown (attached image)

I am stumped and now in jeopardy of loosing my client, who I need to install another monitor thus having 2 media player.

Anyone with any ideas will be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

What i understand is that the problem you had was improper shutdown (power loss, etc)....

I agree with Rui, your post isn't particularly easy to understand. However, it does seem to be a strange issue.

What you appear to be saying is both of your Z83-4's seem to be having issues on site but then they both work absolutely fine when you bring them to your shop for the purposes of testing/troubleshooting? (Is that correct?. If misunderstood then just ignore the rest lol ;)!!)

I'd look at the obvious differences between facilities & peripherals on site vs what you have available at the shop!! Is there anything that stands out that could be a contributing factor to these issues when the devices are installed on site?

How closely are you able to replicate their on site setup when testing at your shop?

Think from the ground up including all basics!! Wall sockets/power terminals, to cabling, monitors/TV's, mice & keyboards, attached storage devices, how are the devices physically installed on site, etc., etc?

Have you installed any new updates recently or any new software at the shop that could affect their operation on site too? Are the devices networked on site or stand alone? Do you network them at the shop when troubleshooting?

Have you tried booting the devices into safe mode on site? Do they stabilise or continue to randomly to crash?

You could also try enabling & analysing the crash/memory dumps that may yield some additional clues as well.

Yes. Both units shut down. Power is constant and both are connected to surge protector.

Both units worked flawlessly in my shop. They did not shut down at all. I installed the units to my monitors at my client's location and both shut down unexpectedly.
Nothing different. They are both playing thru hdmi.
Have not installed any new updates.
I just changed the bios to auto start and checked both by unplugging and plugging back on and both turned on automatically.

Have you tried removing the surge protectors from the equation?
