Netflix

I have a u22 with firmware version V005 (20200826) and it will not find the netflix app from the google playstore. If I try to install from chrome it say not compatible with your device. Surely this can't be right ??????

Minix boxes are not currently Netflix certified so you'll need to sideload the app which will only allow SD. Some report HD through the Kodi add on.
It's not a firmware or hardware problem.
None of our media hubs - running Android OS or Android TV OS - are Netflix certified.
So, they do not support Full 1080p HD or 4K UHD Netflix.
It's not possible for our media hubs to gain Netflix certification.

Can you tell me the reason because I found only 4 certified devices on google and they are a lower spec then the u22?
Because Netflix are a bunch of wallies!! Specs are irrelevant, it is all about the certification.

They say "Watch anywhere, anytime, on an unlimited number of devices" NOT!! It is indeed limited to "any internet connected device that offers the Netflix app" and of course the Netflix app only appears in the Play Store for Netflix certified devices.

Don't try to force people to use a device that they don't want to. We all pay the same hard earned money for the service, we should get all the features.:rolleyes:

Netflix works fine in 1080p on all amlogic devices with Kodi ,coreelec, no need special Netflix certification....
Agreed however, I pay for the Ultra deal, I want to watch Netflix in 4k through the native app on my U22, why should I have to jump through hoops to watch a service and still not get what I am ultimately paying for?

Now its also going up in cost apparently :rolleyes:
