no boot

I hadnt used my U1 for some time but its always on usually - except today it was just stuck on the MINIX Loading screen with the android icon - it wont go passed this. the power button doesnt do anything, only option I have is remove powercable which turns it off, I tried holding in the reset button and putting power cable back in - but it just keeps loading the same screen and never moving passed ive left it 2 hours now incase it was some kind of massive lag - but nothing .
I hadnt actually done anything to the device which is why this is super strange.

can I fix this anyway?
 
I have tried to also connect via the usb to windows which hasnt resulting in anything at all - trying USB drive option but this oesnt seem to work either as I cannot get into any kind of boot menu to reset
 
Have you tried pressing and holding the Power Button for 8 secs and waiting to see if the Recovery Menu appears?
 
yesd i have held it longer nothing happens it just stays on the initial minix+droid logo screen
also held reset button underneat same thing
 
i think the problem is it doesnt power off - so as soon as i plug in the power its on and powerbutton doersnt do anything - could the remote do diffrent?>

Have you tried, holding the Power Button first then connecting the power lead and continue to hold the Power Button for 8 secs?
 
yes ive tried this now - it basically goes into a loop - after a little more than 8seconds the screen switched off and then back on again but still stuck on the minix logo screen - i tried with and without USB in the first port.

Hi. Read careful the instructions (and check youtube video) and try reflash firmware:

There is a second option (USB Memory Stick method)
 
Hi - I have tried this however I cannot get to any screen no matter how long I hold the powerbutton it just is stuck on the minix+droid logo -
is it possible the device is dead somehow?
When connecting to computer it nevers shows up in the flashing tool either.

Ive had many years with it running almost 24/7

Do what Rui has already suggested for you directly above!!!! Re-flash the firmware.
