HelloAnybody can share Original rooted firmware to U22-XJ Max or supersu package. I can't find that release on https://files.theminixforum.com/shared/
My advice would be to send it back due to the lack of support from Minix, root will never happen let alone updates. Is there any update on root for this box? I bought one a few days ago but now consider sending it back because the lack of root.
Kinda crazy that max seems to be abandoned compared to the good support of the first, non max version. My advice would be to send it back due to the lack of support from Minix, root will never happen let alone updates.

Indeed, Minix seem to have slipped a rooted version in there!! Well spotted.
i will check with engineer again, and if they have schedule to make a rooted Firmware , i will let you know accordingly
Have updated the pre-installed factory non root ROM using this *.img (rooted version) by use of the SDCard burning method. At first I got zero progress of this update... The update percentage wasn't visible. I found out that this couldn't work because of the naming scheme of the *.img: It contains spaces inside of the file name. After renaming the update process went ok. To fix that I simply have adapted the file name inside of the *.ini file on the sdcard to match the renamed file.Indeed, Minix seem to have slipped a rooted version in there!! Well spotted.
