pairing with vpn,minix neo u9h

i would like to know how to use a vpn on my minix neo u 9h,i see there is a vpn symbol at the top of my page when you turn it on,i" assuming that lite should be on,it doesn"t work,any help would be appreciated

You need to install a VPN service from a VPN provider such as Surfshark, PIA etc
 
i did install the surfshark app and have a subscription,i turn on my android box,login on surfshark,i can login to a server,but nothing seams to happen,is the vpn light at the top of the screen that i see when you open the kodi app supose to be on,right now the box is connected by lan,is it possible that the box is to old and software doesn't work,it is android 6 thanks
 
i dont have a u9 anymore so cant check whether the vpn icon at the top of the minix gui does actually "light" up or not !
I dont believe Kodi has anything to do with the operation of the VPN.

You should be able to check whether the VPN is running and connected when using any app ( ie Kodi) by using the mouse facilty on your remote and "pulling down " from the top of the screen when it will show you what apps are running.

Ref LAN it may be that Surfshark has an oprion to enable/disable VPN over the LAN connection.
