(Resolved) U9-H looping on startup...totally bricked ?

Hello everyone,

To see this, I connected to the JDEBUG1

Of course I tried : "unplug the power from the U9, insert the USB Stick. Plug in power again and then press and hold in the power button for at least 6 seconds", but it doesn't work too

I also tried to flash with USB_Burning_Tools without success: the box is not detected

There is ICE1 with connector pins RESET, DAT, CLCK, GND. Anyone know how to use it ?

Does anyone know a solution to break this boot sequence and force the boot to the SD card or to the USB STICK ?

Is it possible to connect with the serial port and load u-boot located on the SD card or on a usb stick manually ?

help would be appreciated

I found a solution

I had read some post https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/minix-u1-bricked.3855/ and https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/emmc-reset-pads.4430 / which showed how to put a paper clip or a screwdriver on the motherboard to make a short circuit (...)
Ok, as my U9-H was not working I tried various short circuit until the boot loop froze to show

I used usb_burning_tools provided here https://files.theminixforum.com/sha...FW001-Android_7.1.2-20191120-Burning_Tool.zip and flashed my U9-H

For the U9-H, I made a short circuit on R32 (see attached files)

Yes of course.

I booted the U9-H with an SD card with Debian u-boot. I deleted all emmc android partitions. I restarted without having created new partitions or boot loader on emmc because I believed that the boot would be done automatically on the sd card (...)

It was when I restarted that I had this problem.

I know Linux but I'm a newbie and discover u-boot and the particularities of TV boxes.

For the moment, I am trying to understand how to format emmc correctly to boot with u-boot and Debian.

I understand how u-boot works with the dtb file, but I have doubts to do the bootloader and the boot partition.

Like now unbricked the U9-H is not a problem :cool:, I'll try a classic Linux method a bootable fat partition (with the bootloder) for the u-boot and an ext4 partition for the system.

My goal is to recycle my U9-H into a DHCP + ADGUARD Home server. 2GB Ram 16GB emmc with an octo-core S902-H is more than enough!
