Shutdown with CoreELEC

I am using A Harmony remote to control my system and find now that I am running CoreELEC the only way I can successfully shutdown is to use the Kodi power option to re boot back to Android and then use the remote to shutdown the system or switch to another activity eg.Watch TV. While this works fine it is a much slower process.
If I try shutting down directly from CoreELEC the Minix box only goes into standby mode and not full shutdown. I could live with this if it was reliable but what I am finding is when I move to watching TV the Minix box will at times start up (blue light) by itself. Has anyone had this issue and is there a solution?

I had the same issue. It's a CEC configuration. Try to play with it.

Do you remember which setting was it ? On the CEC menu?

Thank you. However, this did not change my situation. I tried the CEC option "system->input->peripheral cec settings the action on TV power off to shutdown. I guess the box does not recognise this command as it stays on - blue light. Probably I can just unplug the HDD from the box but I do not like this option very much. Thank you for your help so far
