Speed or memory query

I am having a buffering problem with my IPTV. I have a U1 also doing the same. If i use my Laptop to run the IPTV direct i do not have the problem. I wonder if the Minix boxes are reaching the limit of speed or memory to cause the buffering. Computer 2.5 Ghz.

I doubt it very much as I also have IPTV on U1 and no real issues with buffering unless its the source.

Do you use a VPN ?

Do not use VPN normally only to access UK. Cannot see how it can be source as it is the same for computer and Minix boxes.

What IPTV app are you using? It could be the app buffer size is not adequate enough, I use Perfect Player and have never had issues on the X8-H Plus, U1, U9, T5 and U22.

Looks like it is a buffer problem, do you know of a way to increase buffer size on the Minix boxes? As far as apps i have tried Perfect Player , Iptv Smarters and Xtream Player. These are all OK using Computer.

Hi.
Please tell us :
1-how your minix and your computer are connected, wifi or ethernet?
2-distance from router (if using wifi) ?

Notes:
-For (stability/performance) is always better using cable
-check internet speed of the router
-if the router is not working properly it is better factory reset (warning - all settings will be lost)
-check your minix apps installed
-restart minix and router.
-try other streaming sources
-last but not least : streaming (from external server)is always slower in comparation to streaming from local server

Both are ethernet. As i said computer is fine using IPTV Smarters but the U-9 buffers at about 10minute intervals as though it cannot keep up. The other thing is that although the source and app are the same, the Minix is about 10secs behind the computer.

check my previous post and :
1-Uninstall all apps that you don´t need (minix)
2-Maybe your client (U9-H) have some problems...
Last resort - Factory reset U9-H (warning - all data and settings will be lost, do a backup first) and install just the apps that you need.
3-Did you try with another U9-H firmware?
Marshmallow:

4-Another thing you can do is upgrade or downgrade IPTV apps.

Nougat:

Note:
I don´t know what resolution you are trying to see for the videos and i suppose you have enough internet speed for streaming.

Yes i have tried all settings available, i think it is the processor not being fast enough for IPTV streaming, OK for movies streamed.
I have to disagree, you have had issues with movie streaming too so this can't be the reason, I have an X8-H Plus that streams IPTV just fine and this is a lower spec processor than the U1 or U9:
I find that when streaming all is great, then after watching several episodes of a serial it starts stopping about half way through an episode. Is it possible that the box gets full and needs clearing out somehow? Is there an App that will do this?

I suspect you have an app that is interfering with your streaming, do you have ES File Explorer installed on both boxes by any chance? This has been known to cause issues, if so I would suggest uninstalling ES File Explorer and having a test to see if the issue is resolved.

Will remove from box? Let you know result, thanks.

I am going to try a NVIDIA Shield to see if it overcomes problem, will come back after i use it.
I also have to disagree however i use netflix...

What i think you must do:
If you already checked everything from your home (router, minix etc...) you could try on a friend's house.

Netflix runs 100% on both boxes, as i keep saying all runs OK on computer, same source, same player, so it is a box problem, i wait to try the Shield box.
