I went from a U1 to a T5 and I noticed that when in KODI I open a DVD place on my NAS in the T5 the VIDEO_TS file is no longer playing.

It was on the U1 but no more on the T5

Is there anybody outthere who can tell how the play those DVD Video files??

@ArMa i don't use Video_Ts files.

Acess:
Double check your network configuration including NAS.

Playing:
Test with kodi 18.5 stable version.
Don't use kodi nightlies versions.

Convert:
Option to convert that type of files to kodi format- mkv for example. (There are programs that do that).
You lose dvd menus for example (i think), but it is easier and you avoid future problems

U1 check:
Go to your U1 and see the configuration you have and see if you can do the same with T5

Are you trying to launch the DVD rips from Kodi's library or the file manager/viewer?

Whichever method you're using, try the other on the off chance ;).

@notrui & @ articwolf

the same file is running normal at the U1

i am running it from the library as I do on the U1

i use the same skin on both devices

i don't use nighties; i use the stable version; the same on both devices

NAS is ok >> it is running on the U1

i know about the converting programms

@mark lob >> why should I do that?? the file is running on the U1 device

@notrui : it opens and the nothing happens, not even a popup screen with an error or something like that
i looked at the page you mentioned and there it comes back to converting the files

i just wondered why everything is running normal on the U1 and not anymore on the T5
same software, same kodi version, same skin, same add-ons etc

If you have only one file that have that problem the solution is simple:

Convert to mkv for example.

And in my opinion convert the files (if you have more) is the best way.

Kodi will work (if you have everything well).

Try launching the problem file from the FILE VIEWER listing, not the library view listing!!!!
