TROJAN?????

A friend of mine has a U-9h which I helped him build. He brought it over to show me how it is playing movies during Kodi movies every 5 minutes. I had never seen that before. I loaded Malwarebytes and it detected 3 malware files. It was able to remove two of them. Sorry I didn't take a screenshot or write down the name of the particular offending files. The U-9 now runs normally. I am not too worried about the last file found since it is just a PUP. In this case, Malwarebytes did its job.

As @CybeRider said some addons and untrusted sources may result in :
Slow Operating System, infecting other devices, etc.

You may consider also not web browsing in untrusted websites.

Please provide some additional clarity as to your meaning of this statement !! What exactly is (or was) happening there?

(For example, Kodi has an add-on that can automatically play random media at set intervals. If this issue is happening within Kodi, you may have such an add-on installed without knowing it .)

(I suspect @CybeRider has already hit the nail on the head in that you've used a "build" with Kodi, however. Chances are the U9-H itself was fine & it certainly wouldn't have contained any malware with the stock factory firmware. Any malware (or suspected) would have been downloaded/installed by the end user.)
