U9-H on FW008 issues

I recently updated my U9-H to FW 008. All seems ok except for a single recurring issue. When watching a move, the system will suddenly dump me out to the listing menu. I can restsrt the video and the system "knows" where it stopped, so I can essentially continue from where Kodi (17.6) stopped. I never had this happen on FW 007A.

The timing of the halt is random, but usually occurs between about 40 and 70 minutes. It almost always happens during the first hour after turning the box on and starting to view a video. Sometimes, not always, it will happen a second or third time during an evening's use. Quite random and quite unpredictable.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Sorry really dont have any idea why this may be happening......ive never experienced this with my U9 and Kodi 17.6.

Suggestions to try :

Clear/Wipe the Cache partition from the minix u9 recovery menu
Clear Cache for Kodi from the apps menu in settings
Delete Kodi and reinstall from new

Factory Reset and reinstall your apps

Fresh install of firmware and apps
 
The reason is the update of programs in Google Play. You can go to Google Play after "system will suddenly dump me out to the listing menu" and see that one of the programs has just been updated. Disable auto-update and the problem should disappear.

Auto update should be off (but I'll check again to be sure).

I will try clearing the caches. If that fails I will uninstall Kodi and then reinstall it, but I am reluctant to do that as it is such a pain to set it up the way I like it. Whatever is causing it would seem to be Kodi related, as the issue has never arisen with MoviePlayer or VLC.
 
Well, it appears that the Play Store auto-update WAS on. I have disabled it and so far (knock on wood) so good.

Good tip, and one I will not forget.
