U9h stuttering live streams

Hey, iv had a minix u9h for a few yrs now, and it's always stuttered trying to watch live streams (like r/nhlstreams)

I have the box hooked up to ethernet, getting 56mbps download and 15mbps upload.. why does my box stutter watching a stream? My laptop does it no problem, phone or iPad no problem, but the box is a nightmare! Iv recently factory reset it and it's still the same..

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
 
Over google chrome, tried firefox with same results, but iv downloaded some apks as well, tvtap, cast streams and have the same issues...
 
are you using original chrome version that came with the box? I updated chrome and had same issues. There is a fix... Uninstall chrome and install the factory version in your system file.
 
I noticed same problem over ethernet. Looks like it is all the time trying to reconnect. Wifi 5ghz no problems...
 
I’m going to test this tonight... I have made the same observation about doing same thing on my laptop and no buffering constantly

Hi. You can try using also another browser.

My favorite browser (PC, mobile) is chrome but if i need i use another (firefox, edge for example).

I don't use much web browsing on U9-H
 
Problem is when I use a different browser... when I go full screen it goes to the green screen of death... so my only option is the original chrome browser and as mentioned you need to disable updates.
 
Ok. I don't know also what firmware you have installed but stay on stable marshmallow firmware for now.
 
I’m so frustrated with this box. 1 year and it’s already a dud. I’m just going to get a sheild. My friend has had one for 3 years with full support.

Shield is a device from 2015 with refresh versions.

You have excelent support here.
If you check for reviews of minix devices you see that forum/client support is ALWAYS an advantage.

Check nvidia forum and you see there are issues with that device.

CE ROM is in beta phase.

The shield is so plagued with issues in the latest firmware,users have stopped using it and went back to using firesticks and China boxes due to them being much more reliable.The shield is all hype,the company does not care about the consumer and catering to the sponsors is their top priority.

Check out the official Nvidia forum and see for yourself.

Keeping Chrome at factory level version will allow you to use Firefox without getting the green screen issue. Somehow the green screen that affects other browsers is related to having Chrome recent version installed in the box (unless of course you are using a browser that uses the Chrome engine, and then you will get the green screen again because it is Chrome related).

If you have ethernet and wifi at the same time the device always prioritize ethernet (and disconnect automaticaly wifi).
The same happens with windows 10 for example.

You can have both connected without any problem, i have like that (both wifi and rj45 at the same time).
