My U9-H & Kodi went through a cluster of either stopping completely or becoming unresponsive (wait/OK to close) for a couple of weeks 2 or 3 months ago. However, it just sorted itself out. It happens only every so often now. As @pusb87 has said, live with it, it happens ;). If it's becoming a chronic issue with serious side effects then you may need to intervene ;).

I use it very rarely as I prefer a different file manager, but I still have ES installed on mine, does a combination of the two cause known problems???

I tested a few nightly builds & betas over on the Windows N42C-4 but they clearly still needed more work. I use the U9-H to play all of my local media anyway, so it was purely out of curiosity.

I can't wait for the new X39 now :).

This happens for me every time I exit kodi. mediacodec hardware acceleration is disabled and I don't have ES file explorer

i have both mediacodec and es file explorer and it is very rare that kodi exits falsely.

it maybe a rouge kodi addon / configuration that is causing problems...do you use a "build" ?

long shot but i never use kodi installed from the playstore but sideload it after downloading from their website.

I dont use a google playstore account at all on the minix as i dont like its constant notifications/communicatuons/looking for updates etc etc

you could also try installing a good clean kodi fork such as WBMC ( which you can run alongside) and see if that gives similar problems
