Video playback.

I bought a Neo U9-H box. This is my first TV box. The TV is a Samsung C650 FULL HD
With KODI: Video playback works with cadence correctly.
Does not work with a media player. This can be set, or not?

Example video with KODI or with Video player :
4K: Bbb_sunflower_native_60fps_normal.mp4, and H.264_2160p_60fp@45.9mbps_samsung_seven_wonders_of_the_world_china_uhd-DWEU.mkv is not good. Image and sound are dazzling.
1080p: x264_killa_sample.mkv. The image freezes.
Is this normal for abox?

(Sorry I can not speak English. Translated into Google Translate)

Samsung C650 is an old 8 bits LCD TV but it can let you watch non HDR videos, even in 4K (4k video is then downscaled to full HD).

Set Kodi to Auto dynamic Frame Rate matching / switching
....designed to match the media player's output frame rate to the original frame rate of (video) content. This applies to content that's mastered at different frame rates, for example 24fps film-based content or other international video content encoded at 60, 50, 30, 25, and 24fps.

Media player output frame rates will also match (and switch) the display's refresh rate appropriate for your region. For example 29.97fps for NTSC. 25fps and 30fps content uses frame rate doubling to display at 50Hz and 60Hz when available, matching its original appearance while preserving a fluid user interface.

How is connected your video sources (Nas, Hard drive, ...) ?

It should work fine. Use Kodi 17.6 with auto framerate on, or use another player like MX player.

Thanks. I found the setting. With MINIX player is good. Playback setting -> HDN Self-Adaption: Level 2
With MX player refreshrate has not changed.

I did not know, that box hardware does not support H264 encoding.
The 2 pcs. 4K demo is not good: H264 10bit 60fps.
The 1080p is also H264.

Not sure what your problem is but the U9 definetly supports the majority of h264 and h265 files ...all the video files i watch are generally h265 10bit..

can you provide a link to the files you mention in your op and i can try for you.

I would try ( which works fine for me)

in Minix Playback settings > Set HDMI Level 1

in Kodi > Player > Video settings
Set Adjust display refresh rate to On Start Stop
Sync Playback Display to OFF (disabled)

in Kodi > System > Display
Set delay rate after change of refresh rate > 5 secs
Set GUI resolution to Auto

OK , so I tried all the linked files and agree that the U9-H does not play them at all well, I also tried on U1 with similar results. :(

Sorry I can offer no explanation.....

Thanks!
No big problem. Most videos are perfect. :)
It was after the setup better, but is not good.
Interesting, with the VLC player was the best, but the sound is too late, and can not be set.
