I really can't find these settings. But i am sure it used to launch automatically. Will dig deeper. I am using bsplayer, divxplanet and opensubtitles. How / where are the settings to set automatic launch ?
I have enabled both BS Player and OpenSubtitles and can set one or other as default but how did you set to automatic launch as i cant find that setting ?
Opensubtitles generally seems to find may more as well.
To test that is simple.I know. But i watched couple of episodes but none of them got checkmark

Did you add the series to your libraryI know. But i watched couple of episodes but none of them got checkmark
Yes. Trakt only works with added libray items (movies/tv shows) in kodi.Did you add the series to your library
I think it only works for items you have in your library ( but im not sure)
I use trakt like @notrui2 to keep track of TV shows that i dont add to a library and it works well.
I also spotted a "Watchedlist" addon in the Kodi repository...ive never tried it, you may want to take a look
No, thats incorrectYes. Trakt only works with added libray items (movies/tv shows) in kodi.
Ok. You are right. Trakt only works with kodi added library but in "auto".No, thats incorrect
I dont add any TV shows to a Kodi library but Trakt will keep track of them
sorry, this may be a language issue but you do not need any library set up in kodi for Trakt to monitor progress in viewing, it is managed via theTrakt only works with kodi added library but in "auto".
Automatic(auto) is when we configure all and we dont need to do manually setup ourselves ☺. Sorry my english also ☺ and sometimes it is difficult for me to explain in words ☺sorry, this may be a language issue but you do not need any library set up in kodi for Trakt to monitor progress in viewing, it is managed via the

Thank you for input. This has solved one problem of subtitles. That is an add-on to be found in Kodi official repo under service add-ons (don't ask me why, funny place to put this) and it is called AutoSubs.
For some reason I have it working in Minix XBMC but I couldn't make it run in Kodi 18.3 so far.

To test also checkmark do this:Thank you for input. This has solved one problem of subtitles.
Install the Addon "AutoSubs". This will launch your BSPlayer or any subtitles addon if no local subs are found.
But the problem of "Checkmark" is still killing me !!! I tried selecting a video file and manually marking it as watched. There was still no checkmark in front of it....

I have tried both.Did you try the completely fresh install or just remove the .DB file?
After selecting the option of mark as watched, i click on update playlist. Nothing happens. To test also checkmark do this:
Refresh the page by back one folder for example and then go to the same folder, see if can resolve your problem (of course the file must be mark as watched)
It`s container refresh failing to trigger, did you try my suggestion? I have been doing it this way since Kodi 17 release. After selecting the option of mark as watched, i click on update playlist. Nothing happens.
