I don't think so :

In contrast to prior Google-developed operating systems such as Chrome OS and Android, which are based on the Linux kernel, Fuchsia is based on a new microkernel called Zircon

I dont like the name "fuchsia" ☺.
I wonder if will keep that name since it is still in development.
I think the name is important and it not easy to write/speak.

But more important that the name is the OS itself ☺.

As a kid I called them "Dancing Ladies" maybe because I couldn't say Fuchsias!
