Will The U22 XJ Still Be Supported?

Now that the U22XJ Max is out, will Minix still support and upgrade the firmware of the U22XJ?
For the moment nobody Know what is going on ,all looks like that minix have abandoned the communication with the users ,concering the u22xj -the last bugtracker is now one year old ,no news , when you take a look in all bugtracker since the u22xj is out you Can see that some bugs have never be resolved ....i dont think that the release from u22xjmax change something in the futur firmwares from u22xj ...
The china New year is also not excuse for no news because this situation is now one year old ....
There are a lot of Bad feedback concerning no existing updates for u22xj in bugtracker and other posts ... The fact that minix have never answer this posts présume nothing good in the future .

Last point : minix is the last manufacturer who have brought out a s922box on the market , all looks like that the next génération of CPU Comes out and the u22xj always not bug free and "obsolète" compared to next CPU générations...
U22XJ is comming out ~one year After the other s922boxes , 2 years are now passed and u22xj firmware is not finished ...so 3 years to late compared to other manufacturer ...so its clear that the u22xj firmware will not be finished when the other bring out the New boxes ...the same for u22xjmax...
I not understand why minix not continue to resolve small bugs in firmware ..every bug how is resolved IS a step to a bug free firmware...and it also give a good image from minix - communication is the most important thing !!

I would hope so, but if not then I think people will abandone Minix for greener and better supported pastures. Mine works just fine for what I need and so does my UH9. However, in the future I would look for other options. Also companies can't keep coming out with newer products that, in their opinion, replaces an older( a few years) model. They want people to buy the new unit because they want to make more money. Understood. But if the new improvements aren't included in the previous model then what's the point of continuing to support Minix?

I have been trashing Zidoo, my first and excellent hardware STB, on every site I visit for the same reason. Zidoo left the H6Pro in a terrible state. They simply left that STB in position that it is almost unusable.

Honestly I've been a big supporter of Minix in the past and I still believe they sell good decent hardware. but their support of their existing products is dismal at best, it's clear that their priority is to sell new generations of hardware and deprecate their old products as quick as possible.

This seems to be the industry standard. When they put out the next generation, they don't look back.

Quit frankly, my Zidoo's picture and sound are better then the U22, but what good is that if it's a nightmare to get something up to play?

I have been a big supporter of minix but must say their support has got downhill FAST. They promised on going support for this product ( U22XJ) and have failed miserably with this. I do believe they let JOHN (i think his name is/was) go which was another HUGE mistake. I am sorry to say but i doubt i will be wasting my money on any more minix products, unfortunately

Same here, Been buying Minix since the X7, but now I have lost faith in the company. The units are well made and good quality, but the backup has been really bad and still never managed to get the most basic functions working...enter, cut and paste ect. I think its the end of an era for Minix now...Sad but true

Hi guys,

Don't forget the lockdown has been terrible for many companies.
Some people left Minix and last bu note least, there's currently a big shortage.
New people joined the staff, we hope now more reactions from Minix ;)

After 2years and 7/8 firmware updates it was Time that all the small bugs are resolved ...no ?

How many time moore thé users have to wait for have a bug free device ?
Why they sale boxes with not finished firmware ,to much bugs inside ...
Normaly a firmware brings New features (modification from kernel for touchscreen for exemple....)
For the moment 7/8 firmware later ,no New features and no bugs resolved ,bugs how have been reported since bugtracker from first firmware update...
And all locks now that users are beta testers for Fw 8 ...no bugtracker avaible and forum staff say themself that this is not normal...
So how long it continues like this ???
Maybe the users have to make a list with all thinks how not work corectly ??
A résumé from all bugtrackers ...
John go away - this is old now
Covid - i work every day !! If anybody have covid in the company he rest 7 days at home and then he return work ...

Un moment faut arrêter de chercher des excuses skynet ,ce que tu viens de dire ont la déjà entendu il y a 6 mois voir plus ,un mec seul pourrait faire un nouveau firmware en partant de 0 en moins de 3 mois !!

ok , but at least warn of the problems, the problems. I also have them in the company where I work but my boss wants the same production .... I don't know if I get the idea.... however the saddest thing is that minix does not even deign to let customers know the situation and does not explain anything about the future of u22-xj on the forum this is sad.

Yes i agree.
We need more infos from Minix staff.

Remember we (Admins, Trusted helpers) are NOT part of Minix staff. We just bring help here as far as we could have official informations too ....
