Wireless speeds.

Hi.

I have several AC Wireless routers, one is a Asus RT-AC68U, and a Huawei 4G wireless modem, both with AC wireless.

My Neo U9-H barely touches 10mbit speeds, from one room away, but Laptop beside the Media player, on the same routers, pulls 200mbit speed on the routers.

Anyone know what is making the device soo bloody slow on wireless ?

I recall this subject to be a persistent demand in the old forum and, as we debated it more seriously, we got to the conclusion that there has to be some kind of different ways for the applications to read the device speeds.

I experienced also big differences in the way the speed was read between the Minix and the smartphones and computers around. It seems however the Minix (as stated in their site) has three antennas and so it probably changes the way the apps deal with the speed reading from it. If you get a smooth performance with 1080p videos over a 100Mb internet connection, the speed can't be as bad as shown in most speed reading apps.

Please try with Ookla Speedtest (available in the playstore) and see if it gives you better results, as it did for many of us.

If this also gives you bad results you will probably have to check for the Minix box to be placed in an optimal zone, away from interferences. Moving it to a slight 10cm around the initial position can have a big impact, as moving the aerial for the several angels from horizontal to vertical positions.
