x39 HDR - How ?

Hi,
Minix X39 will be only sold in industry, and doesn't support HDR.
You sould consider to buy the U9-H

The Soc supports 10 bits encoding but not HDR.
thanks, so I'll stop chasing up a blind alley
momentary lapse then of minix to plaster HDR onto the x39 packaging box

Though the chipset does not officially state in their datasheet that X3399 supports HDR, but actually it does.
To enable this feature, you'll need to make sure that the HDR option is enabled on TV.
Make sure the videos are with HDR.
Also, you'll need to playback them with the pre-installed video player.
Do not use Kodi if you want to get HDR, because the Rockchip chipsets doesn't seem to have a good compatibility with Kodi, not like Amlogic does.

I dont have the pre-installed media player you mention, i must have uninstalled it at some time..is it possible to provide the apk for it ?

I just had a look.
It can't be uninstalled!

But.....unfortunatly it doesnt seem to have access to anything but local files., and it doesnt show up as an external player if you use a file manager to browse to your network files.
