Ok. Box all good. Updated in all ways ok.
Problem, several random reboots & also several times there is a loud buzzing from the box & it shuts down. Just like it's overloaded or something.
Buzzing & shutdown happened twice in last two hours whilst watching regular HD films on an attached 4TB portable hard drive.
Not looking good so far, never had this problem with my old U1
Help & advice appreciated. Thanks

Of course it could be the brand new 4TB portable HDD I have attached, it could be faulty.
Will disconnect the HDD tomorrow & see if I can replicate the problem.
I have this issue also !!

I have been using the Minix Neo U22 box for a week, with an Minix Neo A2 Lite air mouse.
The box is connected via LAN to a Gigabyte router. I use the jack connection for the sound.
The OS and applications are up to date.

Here are the problems I encountered:
  1. the box freezes and reboots itself 1-2 time a day; at least the reboot is fast; I think it is due to the System UI;
  2. when using NordVPN the LAN connection drops; I have to re-enable manually, by selecting the DHCP option; I will try the Wi-Fi connection, but I would like to use the Gigabyte port to take advantage of the extra speed;
  3. a few times a day the sound does not work; there is no output, neither on the audio jack or via HDMI; I have to manually reboot the box to get the sound working;
  4. I noticed continuous pops in the audio output when using the audio jack; on the previous box, the Minix Neo U1, with the same speakers, cables and power socket this did not happen; the sound was clean; on HDMI the sound has no issue;
  5. when opening some apps (like Facebook, Tidal, ZOOM), the box does not respond for some seconds; also, it restarts from time to time;
  6. the "Enter" button is read by the box as the "q" character; on the previous box, the Minix Neo U1, this did not happen; we need to wait for an update from Google;
  7. I use the Chrome browser; I cannot scroll down with the air mouse, only with the up-down arrows; we need to wait for an update from Google;
  8. Rarely, when I switch through applications, I encounter the "System UI isn't responding".
  9. The box sometimes restarts when using ZOOM; I use ZOOM with a webcam from Logitech, I have video and sound from it; compared to how the app runs from a mobile phone with Android 9, on this box the app lags, allot;
Overall the box is faster than the U1, handles multiple applications with ease, boots faster, but I have doubts about it.
The current Android OS implementation has problems. It looks like things were hurried when they released this box.
I wonder if Minix tests these box with applications on them, or they resume on booting the OS and that is it.

You can use the directional arrow keys in the middle large square of the remote to slide up and down the websites. This is valid for Google or Opera browsers.

The function you mention is available in Firefox web browser, which allows both methods to navigate the websites.

The situation with the Enter key was reported a few days ago and will likely be addressed in a future update. You might find some relief to the annoyance by trying Gboard from the Play Store in the meantime.

Can you please check the HDMI cable quality/connection, preferably switch the cable and try from there. That situation is unusual but consistent with a bad connection or quality of that cable. Should this be the case it can be causing the failings in the other components (sound) that you mention. I notice you refer to a U1 in the same spot. The HDMI cable gets in the U22-XJ in a 180º angle comparing to the U1 and that can cause some adverse tension if you are using the same cable that got eventually deformed in time to the position it used to have when connected to the previous box.

VPN issues are being taken care of as issues are already known.

Browsing with Chrome: please check my previous post in this thread, here above.

I know but arrows does not work at all or does not work correctly (one time on ten scroll's down site)

I am really sorry to know that. I just unpacked a new A2 Lite and also unpacked a new stock remote. The arrows key works very well in both.
But I can understand your point, I wish I could also have the function back in Chrome with this box.

I gave you my best shot and really can't find any better solution for the moment.

Maybe someone else will have a better guidance, I will keep you in mind for a solution should I find a better one.

It also doesn't work in Opera, which has the same engine as Chrome, and so it will likely not work in many other browsers...

Sounds rational, i was thinking it was some sort of bug because on my old x7 "drag-scrolling" was working on every browser.
Anyway firefox will do fine - thank You.

It worked great in the U1 with Adroid 5.
Didn't work anymore with the U9-H at a certain point of updating the browser if I can correctly remember, so it is a long time thing I got used to having to scroll with the arrows while in Chrome. :rolleyes:

Yep, Chrome latest version works fine on the U1.
I just updated from version 60.x to 80.x!

Version 57.x was the last version that drag-scroll worked on the U9-H. I'm using version 57.x on the U22-XJ!
