I'm using Amazon Music HD and looking for a player being able to pass through 24bit/192khz via digital output to the AVRs DAC. Would this work with the U9-H?

No, as the Amazon HD app itself doesn't support audio pass through, it decodes streamed audio itself first. The max decoding ability of the U9-H with Amazon HD or Tidal Master (as examples) is 16/48 to 16/96 which can also be app specific.
A similar question was asked here but the OP never returned to say if they'd found another way of going about it....
Thanks for your reply! I checked the thread you mentioned already, just was not sure about Amazon Music HD. Is there any box that would do the job (like U22-XJ)? I'm unable to find the according specs..

U22 has the same decoding abilities as the U9-H to my knowledge.
Ultimately, you're looking at spending a bit more cash than these media hubs for that sort of audio quality.
As with the other post, it's a subject better raised on a forum dedicated to that sort of hardware & those who are far more familiar with its configuration, & use.
Thanks for your answer! I just hope to get something as easy as passing through a music stream cheaper than spending 500€ for a network player..
Seems like the audio equipment manufactures are doing something right
