Dolby Atmos and DTS X Pass Through Issue

Hello,

Is there a fix for the Dolby Atmos and DTS X Pass Through Problem ? Any Patches or Hot Fixes ?
 
Using the official MINIX firmware...... No and no. No or no.

Use CoreELEC & HD audio passthrough functions well.

Yes I'm using CoreELEC but i'm missing Dolby Vision Now....... I've been a trusted Minix FAN for the last 10years but now i'm starting doubt it .... Dolby Atmos was supported on U9 .... I upgraded to U22 and it Broke..... This was something which was working fine so I'm finding it very difficult for me to see why its not working on the U22... do i need to go back to the U9 ..
 
but i'm missing Dolby Vision Now.
how are you missing DV now

DV works on the U22 using its inbuilt media player
Coreelec/Kodi does not support DV AFAIK

Dolby Atmos does work on the U22, just not HD variants

MInix have failed to supply a firmware that works on the U22 for HD audio:((n) (unlike the U9)

Minix have completly failed the firmware compared to u9h :
Wallpaper zoom bug
Logitech keyboard dont work correctly
Touchscreen not work ...long list in bugtracker..
And the Same with Fw 07 and fw 08 that i have tested .. Always the Same , nothing have changed..

Minix team préfère post about minix pc in the forum and dont give answers to the u22xj users since months , about the bugs how are not résolved
Every day i sée posts from minix team in the différent minix pc "sections" and they make liké u22xj not exist ,no answers ,and if anybody give answers you Can be Shure that it was just stupid blabla for calm thé peopel but nothing change

Promesse from minix boss how have mail with user -nothing change
Promesse from minix staff in mail change or in différent u22xj sections -nothing have change ...

@minix you bégin to bé completly ridiculus
Better stop sale Android boxes
If users need to wait more then 2 or 3 years to have a bug free Android box !!!
7 /8 Fw later its allways the Same
Maybe in Fw15
If you put the option to change the Wallpaper in the firmware ,this option have to work correctly liké all thé rest...?

I think it's time to turn to the Nvidia Shield Pro Tools this point.... I'm very dissatisfied with the U22 and @minix I thought you would put more effort into it... People buy minix because they want quality... If that's not the case one could buy a cheaper box @ around $50 which doesn't support Atmos HD
 
I never buy other manufacturer as minix but can thé support from other manufacturer be Moore worse as thé support from the u22xj ? Impossible !!!

So for me thé things end with u22xj after waiting around 2 years for ad simple functions and correcting simple bugs ...
And i dont talk about thé problèmes with minix x39 how coast me 170€ !! - no support

You Can also erase my acount ,this also change nothing , because normaly if some one have acount on a forum its for have support for bugs ... - the support for u22xj or x39 not exist ,so no need to have acount ,very simple conclusion no ?
For thé users how Come every day talking about bugs since ~ 2 years and nothing change its like talking with a wall ,its the same, thé wall give no answers..

Better add thé option erase my acount in personal settings from the forum

I have not deleted anything regarding your anger towards Minix, I share your frustration being a U22 owner myself. I am however a moderator on this forum, voluntary I might add, with a duty to keep it clean and helpfull as well as ensuring members respect the forum rules, the only things I have deleted from your posts are swear words (profanity) and the promotion of other products which you have named and compared prices against Minix products. This is a clear breach or the forum rules and if you cannot abide by those rules then it is better you contact an administrator on the forum to delete your account, I unfortunately cannot do that for you.

I have now resigned myself and I installed SLIMBOX V12.2 and I feel really good.

I have contact @Skynet to delete my acount ,but anybody else Can Do it no problèm
I am not juste frustadet about minix u22xj ,also x39 ....
Its how i Saïd : if there are options in a firmware they have to work correctly , wallpaper......
If i have a acount on a forum its for have help for résolve bugs in thé firmware or ad aditional functions like touchscreen compatiblity...
If the manufacturer is not interest to résolve smal bugs or ad aditional functions (i am not thé only how have Ask now ~2 years for ad touchscreen compatiblity) then i dont need to bé on thé forum and have a acount
I Can talk to a wall every day in my appartement ,its the same result ...

And i also not need to pay a box 160€ and must instal a rom/firmware from other peopel ,i Can Do this with every other cheap box

So thanks to kill my acount and by by minix ,never again

If you come back and read this Ralf then trust me you are 100% correct in everything you say, Minix really has dropped the ball with regards to support, this was one of the key strong points of Minix which makes it such a pity, sorry to see you go..............
 
I think that they could have at least fixed the mouse scrolling after all this time, it works perfectly on the U1, so can't be much more than copy and paste, surely. If they at least got that cured it would perhaps give us some faith back. Unless there is some action soon this will be my last Minix product.
 
Sorry to see all this, I waited 2 years for full HT sound. I waited because I have 4 U9's I was very pleased with but wanted to step up.... well, I quit waiting six months ago. I now have 3 setups with 5 8TB hd's hooked to each of them. 40Tb's! They are fast, out of three only one had a issue, it got stuck in the wrong frame rate, 1 min to find and change the frame rate. Decodes all sound fields including ATMOS. Fast scrolling through the HD's, they load in seconds. I gave minix a heck of a chance to fix these units but 2 years was too long. I am now running rock solid Shields and have no complaints at all. Sad for Minix, they went from my go to to my stay away from.
