It may be that the Bluetooth function is faulty on your Minix device, but I won't know since you never attempted to pair a different Bluetooth device as instructed.I have tested now also with another controller from friend but is same result. I send the device back and buy other's.
So now we know the problem is with your controller no? The chance of both units being faulty is rather slim. Now I have become today the second U22-XJ and I see it is same problem.
No, he already attempted with his friend's controller. I think he is misunderstanding my instructions. So now we know the problem is with your controller no? The chance of both units being faulty is rather slim.
Have you tried with a bluetooth manager app? I did a fresh install so my controller was no longer paired, I tried the following app and it connected instantly:Now I have become today the second U22-XJ and I see it is same problem.
Is your neighbors controller also a first gen controller CUH-ZCT1E or second gen CUH-ZCT2E? This could be the issue as I am trying to help you but I have a second gen CUH-ZCT2E so pointless effort really. With a small amount of Googling it would seem the first gen is not supported from Android 7 up.Also not working: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manjul.bluetoothsdp&hl=en
And Marty I have testet also with cotroller from Neighbor and this work also not. I belive this is a Update or OS System error
This will have to be done by forum members in Europe as US market Dualshock 4 model numbers are CUH-ZCT1U and CUH-ZCT2U.Is your neighbors controller also a first gen controller CUH-ZCT1E or second gen CUH-ZCT2E? Last thing I can think of, have you tried activating root before you pair? If you do have root on then switch it off, do a reboot of the U22, once back in switch root on then immediately try pairing. Was your U9 rooted? If not then I suspect Google is right and there has been a change in the bluetooth stack on the U22 with Android 9 that differs from the U9 with Android 6.
Here is a callout to all members, please can you assist if you have a first gen controller CUH-ZCT1E and test to see if it is possible to pair with the U22.

I, however, suspect you didn't follow my explicit instructions for pairing, because you have failed to do this with another controller. You are the common factor in the failure to pair the controllers. It's different from pairing to a PlayStation 4. Hold "SHARE" FIRST, then hold "PS". You should be holding down both "SHARE" AND "PS" at this point. The Dualshock 4 should strobe (very fast flash). Release both buttons. Attempt to pair on device menu. I've had this discussion on a different forum dedicated to an Android TV OS device. Almost every time it's someone failing to follow explicit instructions.
What gen controller do you have, first gen CUH-ZCT1E or second gen CUH-ZCT2E?Well i done these excat steps with intensity today for an hour trying to pair one then after that a second Ps4 controller to my new U22 that arrived today and for the life of me it just won't pair. shoot it pissed me rite off man. I kept reading the forum here in frustration but believe me when i say it just will not connect pal. What i purchased this minix for has failed thus far. Truely gutted... F%$KING HELP!!

I am afraid this is built into the Minix Metro so not available as a seperate system feature. How do i find this official Minix Neo U22 Task Killer from inside the operating system of my U22 and place a shortcut icon on my homescreen inside the launcher i prefer to use.
I doubt it has anything to do with the region, it is all about the generation of the controller, the first gen controllers don't connect unfortunately. You will have different codes on the underside of the controller but they will still determine what gen they are.I'm in Australia, my Ps4 pad came with my Ps4 from an Australian retailer. Wonder if that's got anything to do with it not working.
