NEO U22-XJ PS4 Controller Connection not Working

I have tested now also with another controller from friend but is same result. I send the device back and buy other's.
It may be that the Bluetooth function is faulty on your Minix device, but I won't know since you never attempted to pair a different Bluetooth device as instructed.
I, however, suspect you didn't follow my explicit instructions for pairing, because you have failed to do this with another controller. You are the common factor in the failure to pair the controllers. It's different from pairing to a PlayStation 4. Hold "SHARE" FIRST, then hold "PS". You should be holding down both "SHARE" AND "PS" at this point. The Dualshock 4 should strobe (very fast flash). Release both buttons. Attempt to pair on device menu. I've had this discussion on a different forum dedicated to an Android TV OS device. Almost every time it's someone failing to follow explicit instructions.

I followed the instructions but still didn't work. I will send it back and order a new one assuming the device could have something
.

Also not working: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.manjul.bluetoothsdp&hl=en

And Marty I have testet also with cotroller from Neighbor and this work also not. I belive this is a Update or OS System error
Is your neighbors controller also a first gen controller CUH-ZCT1E or second gen CUH-ZCT2E? This could be the issue as I am trying to help you but I have a second gen CUH-ZCT2E so pointless effort really. With a small amount of Googling it would seem the first gen is not supported from Android 7 up.

Last thing I can think of, have you tried activating root before you pair? If you do have root on then switch it off, do a reboot of the U22, once back in switch root on then immediately try pairing. Was your U9 rooted? If not then I suspect Google is right and there has been a change in the bluetooth stack on the U22 with Android 9 that differs from the U9 with Android 6.

Here is a callout to all members, please can you assist if you have a first gen controller CUH-ZCT1E and test to see if it is possible to pair with the U22.

This will have to be done by forum members in Europe as US market Dualshock 4 model numbers are CUH-ZCT1U and CUH-ZCT2U.

What gen controller do you have, first gen CUH-ZCT1E or second gen CUH-ZCT2E?

No idea. I will check and come back to ya here about the Ps4 Pad.

Another question - I watched a review of the Minix U22 by Chigz on Youtube and he i see he uses the Metro Launcher and within that Graphic User Interface there is a built in genuine offical Minix Task Killer obviously built by Minix themselves for this new Neo U22, that i watch him use in the video but my situation is i myself prefer to use the other launcher, so my question is - How do i find this official Minix Neo U22 Task Killer from inside the operating system of my U22 and place a shortcut icon on my homescreen inside the launcher i prefer to use. I want to use the excat same task killer not just another one i collect from the Google Play store. Where is it and how do i fetch it from inside the Minix and place him on my home screen guys? Sorry in advance for the huge RETARDED THINGY but I'm very much the newby that knows SWEET FA about ANYTHING REALLY!!!

I'm in Australia, my Ps4 pad came with my Ps4 from an Australian retailer. Wonder if that's got anything to do with it not working. I tried 2 of em and got same result with both. I just can not get them to connect. 2 Ps4 pads both from different consoles, one black and one white. Frustrating at best. All i wanna do is find and play SCRAMBLE on me new Minix U22. I had the same problem with me Neo X7 all those years ago. Purchased him to play this game from 1981 when i was 10 years old with a wireless controller and spent HOURS AND HOURS trying to get it to play that game and tried numerous wireless controllers but no CIGAR. Tried for years but had no one out here in the bush that could help me. So i wait since 2008 for a new Minix that has 4gb Ram onboard, buy it and full of beans with excitement AND SAME F&%KING PROBLEM!!! Grrr!!!

I am afraid this is built into the Minix Metro so not available as a seperate system feature.

I doubt it has anything to do with the region, it is all about the generation of the controller, the first gen controllers don't connect unfortunately. You will have different codes on the underside of the controller but they will still determine what gen they are.
